SOMETHING IN THE WATER
1.5 oz Uncle Nearest 1884
.5 oz Rich Cinnamon Syrup*
.5 oz Rivulet
Method: stir & strain over king cube
Garnish: candied or praline pecan topped w/ 2 drops Hellfire Bitters
*Rich Cinnamon Syrup:
1 cup distilled water
2 cups sugar in the raw
4-6 cinnamon sticks
INDELIBLE ORCHARD
1 oz apple/ginger/cinnamon brown syrup
2 oz semi-sweet hard cider
Method: shake & strain
Glassware: Collins glass
Garnish: spice-rubbed apple slice & rosemary sprig
Syrup: 4 cups unfiltered honey crisp apple juice
3 cups brown sugar
1 cup sugar in the raw (turbinado)
3 apples’ peels
1 cup chopped ginger
6 cinnamon sticks
1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
Combine ingredients and maintain low boil, then simmer additional 30 minutes.
